Description
"This plant blooms in May and June, has beautiful large light yellow flowers which last one night, close up in the morning and drop off at noon. The fruits remain on the plant 2 or 3 years before they ripen and change to a pale yellow color just before falling off.", letter of Dr. G. F. Gaumer to Dr. Rose, 1921. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
