Near Palm Springs, Riverside County, in the Lower Sonoran
Zone of the Colorado Desert, at an altitude of 150 m.
Scattering, in sandy places. Involucral bracts distinct to base;
rays uniformly 8, yellow. The normal form (Univ. Calif. Pubi., Bot-
any, in. 184 (1907).
