Habitat
Sclerophyll. Syncarpia, Eucalyptus, Angophora, Allocasuarina. Gregarious. On soil, and at base of living trees.

Description
Pileus scales tan to pale ochraceous, with red to pink confined between under scales. Pileus flesh yellow, quickly cyanescent; stipe flesh white, slowly orangish brown with exposure. Tubes and pores yellow, quickly cyanescent. NOTE: Image is mixed!! Paler 'carp on left = ananiceps and spores lack cross striae on ribs. Others with yellow flesh that is cyanescent and have sproes with cross striae on ribs = emodensis.
