Venezuela. Amazonas. Budare, on south bank of upper Río Temí (a black-water river) 15.3 km. (direct air distance) southwest of Yavita.

Habitat
Near edge of forest close to a savanna that is occasionally burned, this area currently flooded with 0.5 m. of water in early rainy season. Associated plants: Henriquezia nitida, leopoldiana piassaba on slightly higher ground.

Description
Tree 7 m. tall, with narrowly pyramidal crown. new leaf flush pinkish white. Young strobili whitish, axillary. Numerous plants of varied size (30 cm. seedlings to trees up to 8 m. tall) seen locally near edge of the forst. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
