Fencerow between roadside and od pasture growing up to
several species of shrubs. With Lonicera cf. morrowii,
Podophyllum peltatum, Juniperus virginiana. Shrub 4.5 m.
tall, 6 cm. in diameter, forming a loose colony. Twigs stiff.
Nearly end of flowering period; flowers lightly fragrant
(2:00 P.M., mostly sunny). Hypanthium tube red distally;
calyx lobes green; petals white; anthers pale yellow.
