Loam over gravelly glacial till.
Margin of secondary forest, hedgerow, with Acer
negundo, Alliaria, Bromus inermis, Celtis
occidentalis, Comus racemosa, Festuca obtusa,
Fraxinus, Geum canadense, Juglans, Morus, Prunus
serotina, Ptelea trifoliata, Vitis riparia.
Fruits green, not glaucous; leaf glaucous below,
bullate-rugose; common shrub 3-4 meters tall, dense at
forest margin.
