    Floristically rich back-dune swale / fen. Marshy edge and in shallow standing water. With Populus tremuloides, Gentianopsis crinita, Phragmites australis, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Maianthemum stellatum, Solidago spp., Echinacea sp., Prunus sp.

  • Description

    Flowers cleistogamous; sepals, petals, and labellum all highly reduced and linear, flowers barely opening or remaining closed. Ovaries swelling. Only cleistogamous individuals in this population. About 10 plants seen. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
