Río Cayapa, Zapallo Grande. Río Zapallo Grande (tribu-
tary of Río Cayapa) was followed 500 m. upriver. From
the left bank a trail led into the forest. Through
disturbed areas finally primary upland forest was
reached on a ridge. (78*54»W 0*48fN) Alt. 200 m.
28 June 1982.
Shrub, 40 cm tall. Inflorescence white.
