    United States of America. Florida. Collier Co. Fakahatchee Strand, SE of Royal Palm Hammock. Near the center of the Strand, ca. 100 m from the tram.

  • Habitat

    Locally abundant on a floating log, growing in a mat of mosses and liverworts. This species only seems to grow on logs that do no have ferns. Area is typically with slowly flowing water, but this year is dry. Under canopy of Annona glabra, Fraxinus caroliniana, and Taxodium distichum.

    Petals and sepals brown, petal apices with a deep red midvein. Labellum white. Leaves purplish-drab green, purple abaxially. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
