    Herbaceous annual; stem 4dm; basal and cauline leaves, lobed, diminished distally; inflorescence ligulate, terminal on stems; outer ray flowers with magenta strips on abaxial surface. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Ambrosia dumosa, Ephedra, Larrea. Others: Mirabilis,
Grayia, Rafinesquia, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Krameria
erecta, Ambrosia salsola, Lepidium fremontii.
