T. 18N, R. 12W, NE1/4 SW 1/4 NW1/4 Sect. 22 Beardstown; west of US Rt. 67, Illinois River floodplain, west-southwest of shopping center, south of the west end of Carp Lane, partly bordering a ‘fish camp’. Beardstown 7.5 min. quadrangle. Coordinate datum WGS 84 / NAD 83. Wet sand. The site includes an ephemeral sand pond (shore) along with a portion of its associated surrounding mesic floodplain forest, degraded. The overall area has been heavily modified by excavation.
