S.E. sandy shore of Round Lake. A sandy
beach, enlarged in area by the receding
water during the dry sunnier, supported an
assoc., whose specific representation
ranked in the following order: E. parvula
var. anachaete, E. calva, E. acicularis
and Cyperus inflexus. E. calva appears
rigid, wiry and bright green in the field,
but paler after drying. Abundant through
out Aug. Aug. 30, 1936.
