  • Habitat

    Sun, south slope. Arid Transition: yellow pines, Douglas fir. Common. In red rock.

  • Description

    Tree 40 ft., spread 30 ft., trunk diameter 13 inches. These are erect trees with central stems straight, small lateral branches. Trunk bark is exfoliating, but not so highly colored as the ones in Modoc Lava Beds (Nos. 6166 and 6167). Branches preading but slightly ascending. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
