fruit green or half-red, orbicular to
depressed-orbicular, 8-9 x 8-10 mm wide;
calx shed, pedicels 22-28 mm long; 3
carpels; leaf lobing faint and rare; bird-
sown in thickets at edge of dry woods, with
Pinus rigida, Quercus alba, Q. nigra,
Sassafrass, Vaccinium pallidum, Prunus
serotina, dry sandy slope, partial shade,
near powerline, between Old Post Road and
