Among grasses. 20°37' S, 47°03' E Alt: 1400m Decumbent perennial herb; central taproot pale brown, creamy in section; white latex in stems; stems suffused with dark red; dry stems of preceding year still present; leaves shiny both sides, slightly succulent.
