    Plants annual, erect. Stems flattened, 2-ribbed. Flowers axillary on long pedicels (>2mm), sometimes deflexed. Stamens 5, anthers purple, perianth monomorphic, yellowish to pink-red. Ochrea long (8-10 mm). Leaves linear-lancelate, involute, without apparent secondary veins. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
