Sand Cemetery (est.1839), 'A mile north of the Des
Moines River bridge on State Hwy 27. Frequent in arid
sand prairie. Associated with Cyperus schweinitzii,
Paspalum setaceum, Cenchrus longispinus, Bouteloua
hirsuta, Oenothera laciniata, Gaura parviflora, and
Ruellia humilis.
