stolonous; scapes mostly shorter (or as long)
than the leaves; leaves greenish (yellow-
green) above, grayish-green and strongly
sericeous on the.lower surface, the upper
surface amd rather prominently reticulate-
rugose; fruits very small, all about
5-6 mm. thick and long (nearly globose), the
achenes about 1/2 submerged in the pits and
depressions; receptacle slightly hairy;
fruit palatable
