to Big Meadow 7 mi. from junction of Los
Pinos - Cebolla Rd., SW of road.
30% sSTS rocky slope of weathered granular
basalt (?) and fine soil? just above
timberline. With Erigeron compositus,
Agropyron, Poa ruplcola, Hymenoxys,
Artemisia, Selaginella, Trifolium,
Arenaria, Festuca ovina, Thlaspi montanum,
Silene acaulis, Phlox (pulvinate), Carex,
Geum.
Vegetative plants frequent on old gopher
mounds; fruiting plants among other
vegetation.
