Description
Tree, 25 feet; stem 1 foot thick; crown unbrella-shaped; twigs thick, grayish-green; wood white, light; bark dark brown beneath the rather smooth grayish-white mottled epidermis; leaves chataceous, dull green above, much lighter or glaucescent beneath; petioles and veins yellowish-green; inflorescence stalks yellowish-green or somewhat glaucescent; pistillate flowers subtended by caducous flesh red bracts; young fruits green, glandular, covered with yellow powder. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
