Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Florida Prov. Gorge of Río Bermejo, along highway from Samaipata to Santa Cruz, 1.5 km E of Río Las Cruces (Río Vicoquín) bridge, 5.5 km (by road) WSW of Bermejo.

Habitat
Steep rocky slope. On steep roadside bank, the natural habitat being an early colonizer of landslide slips in the zone. Dry forest. Common between Bermejo and Cuevas on the highway from Santa Cruz to Samaipata.

Description
Forming large clumps, with many flowering stems in each. Inflorescence silvery with purple.
