of Alto, NM; sandy soil among igneous-based
rocks; growing with Carex foenea and C.
bolanderi, Veronica sp., and chickweeds;
creek is bordered by P. ponderosa. Douglas
fir, Quercus gambelii; about ten plants seen;
corollae glossy yellow above, dull below,
receptacle hairy, achenes not swollen at
base, stems erect
