Branches prostrate, rooted at nodes,
inflorescences emergent but leaves sub-
merged or floating except for a few
dwarfed plants on bare mud; flowers cup-
shaped, bright yellow or with whitish
tips on petals. Abundant with R. longi-
rostris, R. sceleratus and one R. flabel- |
laris x sceleratus hybrid, mostly In ~ \
about 3 inches of water. In a field
cultivated last year and now partly
flooded by a small, straightened creek.
Three miles west of Whitewater along
