The New York Botanical Garden Woody Plants of U. S. A. ROSACEAE Crataegus succulenta Link Bushy shrub with spreading branches, 3.5 m. tall, with two stems (10 and 7 cm. in diameter) from base. Flowers abundant, musty-fragrant. Petals white; anthers red-brown. Brushy pasture on E-facing slope near top of hill, with thickets of Zanthoxylum americanum and scattered dead or dying Ulmus americana, U. rubra.
