New York, Bronx Co.: Bronx, cultivated ornamentals in park along Mosholu Parkway near Webster Ave. and Metro North train bridge. Small treelet 5.5 m. tall, 10 cm. in diameter, in partial shade of trees. In full bloom; flowers with musty fragrance like those of many white-flowered Rosaceae, visited by a small bumblebee and honeybees. A collection from this species, perhaps one of these plants, made with immature fruit, 11 Sept. 2004 under no. 52882. <0> 1MAGED Coll.: M.
