Ada Hayden Herbarium Iowa State University Flora of Iowa Mvosurus minimus L. Johnson County: T81N R5W Section 13 N2 NE4 NW4 NW4 A sandy pasture (owned by Howard Ciha) is approximately 5.5 miles east/northeast of Solon. It is a mixture of open sand, scattered oaks, woods and shallow marshes. The soil here is Chelsea loamy fine sand (63), an Alfic Udipsamment. The pasture is about 0.75 mile north of the Cedar River and on the Southern Iowa Drift Plain. There are thousands of genets of Mvosurus minimus in a mud flat on the south side of the north marsh of 3 marshes. The mud flat appears to have been flooded within the past 2 weeks. Mvosurus minimus is associated with Ranunculus sceleratus and Taraxacum officinale. Mark J. Leoschke 1234 May 14,1991 Aaron K. Basten Collected for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources 02753238
