Ranunculus testiculatus Crantz
Delaware County: T90N R6W Section 15 SE4 NW4 SE4 SW4
UTM (NAD83,15T): 619643 East, 4717732 North
Backbone State Park is owned by the Iowa ONR and is approximately 7 miles
north/northwest of Manchester. Ranunculus testiculatus is infrequent to
common in crushed limestone over mineral soil in the parking areas next to
camp sites in the South Lake Campground. The flowers have light yellow
petals. Blooming genets are infrequent and most genets have light green
fruits. Genets in more sunny sites appear to have yellow, drying leaves, while
genets in more shaded sites have green leaves. Ranunculus testiculatus is
associated with Poa pratensis.
