Lake Wapello State Park is owned by the Iowa Department of Natural
Resources and is approximately 9 miles northwest of Bloomfield. It is on the
Southern Iowa Drift Rain. Ranunculus testiculatus is common in the outer
perimeter of the visitor parking area in the campground. It occurs in crushed
limestone over mineral soil. Ranunculus testiculatus also occurs in bare
mineral soil with scattered crushed limestone at the edge of the parking area.
At least 90 percent of the genets only have fruits. The petals are pale yellow.
This site is a fairly sunny location most of the day. Ranunculus testiculatus is
associated with Draba reptans. Poa annua and Veronica arvensis.
