NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 02744002 Ada Hayden Herbarium Iowa State University Flora of Iowa Ranunculus testiculatus Crantz Marion County T76N R19W Section 7 SW4 NE4 NE4 SE4 UTM (NAD83,15T): 492982 East, 4583091 North 41° 24’ 4.53652" North, 93° 5’ 2.33171” West Elevation 830 feet Elk Rock State Park is owned by the Iowa DNR, approximately 5 miles north of Knoxville and on the Southern Iowa Drift Plain. Ranunculus testiculatus is infrequent in the south portion of the equestrian campground near camp site #35. It occurs in mineral soil and crushed limestone up to 2 meters south of a paved road. The fruits are green and a few plants have closed flowers. The petals are pale yellow. The collection site and adjacent lawn are mowed during the growing season. Ranunculus testiculatus is associated with Androsace occidentalis. Capsella bursa-pastoris. Matricaria matricarioides and Veronica arvensis. Mark J.
