3.8-10.4 x 1.9-4.6 cm wide; old fruit black,
6-9 x 6-7.5 mm wide; 2-3 styles; flowers
8.5 mm long, sepal margins tomentose; 17-
18 stamens; anthers white, filaments pink
with white apex; petals erect, greenish-
white, red basal stripe, apex white; shaded
thickets near Garden Springs Creek, with
Acer platanoides, Pinus ponderosa, Prunus
mahaleb, elev. 605 m, 47° 38.6' N, 117°
