C IK 3<3 MEXICO: STATE OF COLIMA Hybrid: Cosmos pacificus X C. sulphureus n=12II n = 12, but meiosis very irregular with univalents and chains of three and/or five and possible six-chromosomes present in all cells. Hwy. 110; 11.5 mi west of Jalisco border. Warm sub-tropical area near km 209. This large roadside population contained a mixture of white and lavender-rayed forms of C. pacificus (67-259) and several of these golden-yellow-rayed, acheneless C. pacificus X. C. sulphureus hybrids. Unlike other C. exaristatus populations the white-rayed, not the lavender- rayed, forms dominated this population. Thomas E. Melchert, R. Ballard, C.
