escarpment* few white spruce, large and small, no
reproduction of pine* shrubst Juniperus spp*, Rosa,
Shepherdia, Viburnum, Linnaea, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi^
herbs s Zygadenus, Fragaria, Erigeron, Aquilegia,
Pedicular is labradorica. 2 inches of litter and humus,
then gravelly sand with large pieces of limestone»
bedrock perhaps 1 foot below surface* elev. 61*5 feet*
specimens prepared by the formaldehyde method (See Rhodora 49s 54-60. 1947)
