    Plants (upper stems and involucre) only slightly glandular-hairy. Leaves caukine, sessile, entire, glabrous, largest in middle of stem. Heads several per stem, large. Involucre chartaceous with purple tips, ciliate-villous margined. Ray petals pink, narrow, few in number. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
