JL 37683: It has small spores less than 10 pm diam., entire peristome teelh
very finely papillose, exothecial cells mostly quadrate to oblate or oblong
and thick-walled at mid-capsule, vegetative leaves muticuous, sharply
keeled with massive bistratose areas in distal part, irregularly occupying
the whole lamina, terete costa very prominent on dorsal side and 3-
layered, and perichaetial leaves much larger than vegetative leaves,
sometimes spathulate, broadly acute to obtuse. Autoicous. Identical to type
of Grimmia amblyophylla in NY (Hooker, Isla Hermite).
