Elevation ca 300 m.
Arborescent shrubs ca 5 m tall. Leaves tinged with
coppery red. Inflorescence lax, soon drooping after
a twig is cut. Petals white, 16-20 mm long. Ovary
glabrous on top. With #11643, A. arborea, and #11644,
A. canadensis.
