Thin humus soil over exposed gorge wall, on a rock ledge. Partly shaded, north facing cliff face. With Acer platanoides, Tsuga canadensis, Uvularia grandiflora, Prunus virginiana, Eurybia divaricata, Carex sp., and Solidago sp.
