Georeferenced to 12 km NNE of the city of Guajará-Mirim in accordance with the locality description. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the city of Guajará-Mirim in Mun. Guajará-Mirim, Rondônia. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the city. Because the city has defined spatial boundaries on Google Maps, used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the city. To find the location of the offset, input coordinates (-10.7727717, -65.3194714), linear extent (4.138740 km), measurement error (0.0005 m), offset direction (NNE), offset distance (12 km), and distance precision (1 km) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the offset coordinates and the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Offset: Offset at a heading).
