On upper, drier portion of east-facing, hardwood
slope along floodplain of Savannah River. Site #h
(Lat. 34°03' 3V; Long. 82°37'1t0"), about 0.5 mile
south of the Ga. 72 bridge over the Savannah River.
Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed
Russell Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980's
by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
