Rd., 0.9 mi. west of Lost Lake, near stream (Cajon 7.5’ Q.:
34°16'49"N, 117°28'41"W, ±1000m; T2N R6W SI 1). Alt.:
902m/2960ft. Canyon bottom and base of north-facing slope;
clay-like soil, fine-grained and gray; riparian zone surrounded by
coastal sage scrub and chaparral, with Euthamnia occidentalis,
Juncus xiphioides, Schoenus nigricans, Populus fremontii, P.
balsamifera, Lythrum californicum, Andropogon glomeratus,
Epipactis gigantea, etc.
Fairly common perennial, but seen only at this location.
