San Dimas USGS 7.5' Quadrangle; near 34°0332"N 117°49'53,,W; elevation ca 900-1100 feet Mesic slopes dominated by Quercus agrijblia- Juglans californica woodlands sunnier, more xeric slopes dominated by Eriogonum fasciculatum, Opuntia littoralis, Salvia apiana, Stipa coronata, etc. Solitary adventive arborescent shrub on easterly slope; ca 5.5 m tall by 9 m broad, with a basal trunk diameter of ca 38 x 45 cm; corolla petals free.
