Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Ichilo Prov. 3.5 km SW of turnoff at Villa San Isidro from new highway from Buena Vista to Río Ichilo.

Habitat
On slope at base of northermost hills, clay and gravelly soil. Secondary and remnants of tropical evergreen forest, with some remnant Astrocaryum.

Description
Shrub or treelet 5 m tall. Sap milky. Fruit bright yellow-orange, on twigs below the leaves, ellipsoid, slightly asymmetric, with easily removed pubescence, to 6 cm long, 5 cm diameter. Seeds 1-2, 3-3.5 cm long, 2.2-2.5 cm thick, chesnut brown, with a prominent scar.
