    Brazil. Espírito Santo. Cachoeiro de Itapemirim Mun. NW of Cacheira do Itapemirim, Morro Grande, forest remnant behind marble sawmill on S side of road to Jerônimo Monteiro (BR-482) 2 km NW of junction with road to Muqui (BR-393).

  • Habitat

    In understory of disturbed forest remnant with Peltophorum dubium, Opuntia brasiliensis, Rhipsalis, Tillandsia usneoides and many Rutaceae.

  • Description

    Treelets to 5 cm dbh and 3 m tall. Few-branched with age. Leaves dark green with bright green midrib above, bright green below, with paler green venation in oldest leaves. Petioles bright green. Inflorescences lateral, appearing terminal at anthesis because terminal bud does not elongate. Most individuals with old calyces, some with green fruit, and few with flowers. Calyx dirty white, corolla creamy white. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
