Lower elevations of a hardwood slope at bottom of steep incline
rising prominently above floodplain lowlands. A closed canopy
of mixed hardwood dominants over rich soils with cove-like
understory vegetation including Actaea racemosa. Some Oak
species more reminiscent of piedmont habitats such as Q.
