impacted sandy loam. Tree growing in adjacent moist bottomland. Associates
include Maclura pomifera, Gaura brachycarpa, Hedyotis nigricans, Silene gallica,
Sisyrinchium langloisii, Hedeoma acinioides, Convolvulus equitans, Sherardia
arvensis, Modiola caroliniana, Lolium perenne, Orobanche ramosa, Centaurea
melitensis, Cirsium engelmannii.
Leaves smooth.
