Low canopied, ridgetop forest dominated by Psidium cattieianum with remnant Metrosideros polymorpha and Acacia koa. Small tree, 4 m tall with healthy, leafy canopy, 4m across. Leaves in whorls of 4, deep green with conspicuous venation, to 30+ cm long. Sap white but watery. Flowers whilte with tubular corolla, mildly fragrant. Several individuals along trail.
