Shrub about h tall; calyx red-tipped outside; corolla
pink, deeper at apex; stamens white; fruits reddish
brown. Along margin of river. About 1 km. south of
mouth of Riv. Taroupi, 2° 1*7' N, 52° 28' W, French Guiana.
