    Rolling hills of Monadnock Valley; edge of woods with much Acer rubrum and Fraxinus americana; other trees, Tsuga, Quercus rubra, Pinus strobus, less Acer saccharum, Fagus; shrubs, Acer pensylvanicum; on ground, Aralia nudicaulis, Thelypteris noveboracensis, Osmunda claytoniana, Dryopteris ?intermedia.

    Tree ca 3 dm dbh, 25 m tall; <90% dieback. Fallen fruit collected since too high on tree. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
