    Crest of ravine 10 m down to river; edge of woods dominated by Acer negundo; also present, Ulmus americana, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, F. nigra (mostly on adjacent toe-slope); on ground, much Polygonum japonicum, also nearby, Rubus odoratus, Echinocystis.

    Tree with three sprouts from same root, 20,15 and 10 cm dbh, 10 m tall; ca 20% dieback. Fruiting. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
