    Old high terrace of Penobscot River; woods dominated by Tsuga with common Fraxinus americana along edge; other trees Betula populifolia, Quercus rubra, Acer saccharum, Pinus strobus; on ground, Phalaris, Lonicera ?morrowi, Osmunda claytoniana, Prunus virginiana, Corylus ?cornuta, Aralia nudicaulis.

    Tree ca 15 cm dbh, 15 m tall; <10% dieback. Fallen fruits collected from ground since too high on tree and much blown down on this windy corner. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
