Habitat
Old high terrace of Penobscot River; Fraxinus nigra locally common in slight swales draining from campus; also frequent Acer rubrum, Ulmus americana, Frangula alnus, Lonicera ?morrowi; other woody species mostly on higher ground, Rhamnus cathartica, Tsuga, F. americana, etc. On ground, Carex, Impatiens capensis, Polygonum sagittatum, Onoclea, Equistum affinis, Thelypteris noveboracensis, Osmunda claytoniana (drier).

Description
Tree ca 10 cm dbh, 12 m long but leaning over due to fallen trees; little dieback but leaves much damaged from fungus/pollution. Fruiting. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
